Our Team

Margaret Platts, Pastor
Pastor Margaret was born and raised in the South Carolina Lowcountry. She moved to Tennessee in 1999 to pursue her first career in laboratory science. In 2012, she recognized a call to full time rural ministry and moved to Durham, NC to get her Masters in Divinity from Duke Divinity School. Since returning to Tennessee, she has pastored churches in Hickman, Davidson, and, now, Dickson Counties.
Pastor Margaret is excited to join in the many ministries of Charlotte Fagan as this church reaches out as Christ to the community. Her ministry passions include nurture, discipleship, and reaching out to those in need.
Feel free to reach out to Pastor Margaret by email at margaret.platts@tnumc.com or call the church office at (615)789-5194 to set up a time to meet.

Loran Anderson, Director of Youth Ministries
Ms. Loran came to Charlotte-Fagan in 2017 to take leadership of our Youth Ministries program. She is a teacher at Dickson Middle School and enjoys spending time with her two boys Alaric and Jet.
Loran loves DIY, Halloween, movies, and looking for God moments in her daily life.

Gather, Grow, And Go In Christ
Wednesday Morning Bible Study
Please join us on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. for a weekly Bible study. You can come and listen or join in on the conversation as you are comfortable. This is a no pressure environment to study and learn about Scripture’s meaning, history, and how we can understand it today.

Youth
In addition to Sunday School, our youth group meets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings until 7:20 p.m. Our Director of Youth Ministries and a team of volunteers lead the youth in community-building activities, games, and a message. Dinner is served every week.
Every winter, the youth attends Warmth in Winter in Nashville – a youth-centered worship and discipleship retreat designed by and for young people with the assistance of NEXTGEN Ministries leaders. They experience powerful worship, uplifting messages, and spend time building relationships with each other and with other church groups.
Children’s Ministries
We are very blessed by children! In addition to Sunday School, we have a number of places where children can grow in love of God and neighbor and be celebrated in the community:
Vacation Bible School
Trunk or Treat
Cedar Crest camp
Christmas play
Heart to Heart Women’s Group
Our women’s group offers a safe space for women in our community to connect, build relationships, and enjoy time together at various activities and events. This group continues to grow and has been a sacred space for women who are and are not connected to the church. There is no pressure to join when you attend! Just come and enjoy yourself and make some new friends!

Scouts
We partner with the Boy Scouts of America to support Boy Scout Troop 641 and Cub Scout Pack 881. Scoutmaster Greg and our parents are great leaders in bringing up new generations of young men in Christian service.

Community Events
Charlotte-Fagan proudly sponsors a variety of events with members and local businesses for the benefit of the church and the community at-large.
Vacation Bible School
Charlotte Festival Pancake Breakfast & Ice Cream on the Square!
Trunk or Treat
GIVING
Giving of our gifts and resources is how we show our gratitude to God for all the blessings we have in our lives. While we at Charlotte-Fagan could not operate without the tithes and gifts of our community members, we also recognize that folks want to show gratitude in all kinds of ways.
If you are able to give to our church, we offer two donating platforms in addition to cash and checks:
